Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Spending more money for what

Corporate is quoted on 9/27, they are bringing in two management companies to help cut costs and bring in new merchandise. So what are they doing with the people in corporate who’s jobs it is to cut cost and bring in new merchandise. Nothing. So continue to cut hours in the stores and demand the same results and service but don’t cut any corporate people who are in effect not doing their job which is why they are outsourcing. Smh. Sad to see such demise.

After HR thins the herd, who’s going to thin the HR herd?

Company would be wise to look at how much dead weight exists in District and Regional positions nationwide. Paying $$$ to people who contribute pretty much nothing except hours in the office on their phones doing personal business. So what will come of new consulting firms? More layoffs at store level?? Who will be there to roll sleeves up and do the real work? District? Regional? Not likely

HR was told to start thinning the herd. Write up overpaid managers for “substandard job performance “. Whatever you can get them on to do it.

Those people in corporate who work their 7 hour day with their 1 hour lunch should be the ones being thinned.

Does everyone have blinders in. Don’t you all see what the future is.
