Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Prepare yourselves accordingly

The company is in a tough spot right now, of which a lot has been brought on by themselves. Yes Amazon, wayfair, walmart etc are eating our lunch, but bbby has not done anything to stop the bleeding besides destroying morale and motivation. Take care of your people and they will take care of you. Its funny how basic life is. As of now I encourage all higher paid management to brace for the storm and have a backup plan. This includes: Asms, store managers, lp, district and regional positions. The storm is here, hopefully we can make it past christmas. God speed!

Dear Mr CEO....thank you for the email you sent myself and my fellow managers. After this past rocky qtr, this email put my mind at ease. Its great knowing we are headed in the right direction, with you leading the way. I to, believe we will come out of this a stronger, more beloved company based on our finacial strengths to achieve all the goals u have in place. I completely agree that we, as a company, have never had better people then we have now! Knowing my career rest in your hands with the direction you want to take us takes a lot off my mind. I so can't wait. Hang on a minute. You laid me off on Aug 3rd, 2017, never mind! Yours truly, a former dept manager in So Cal. Go Dodgers!!!!

They outsourced the layoff in Aug 2017, if you made over 50k and had benefits, Gone!!

I made 89k, had several BAM’s, didn’t mean a thing!!! I was a department mgr. in the Midwest. It took some adjustment but I’m doing well and hope others are as well.

The crazy thing is that BBB has outsourced a group to figure out what to do differently and help generate sales. Isn’t this what the CEO is paid handsomely to do? Why not save the money and remove and replace ST with a competent leader?

This company failed to evolve with time. Out dated software, search system isn't thorough and corporate decisions that need maintenance. Failure to adapt to changes is a failure company to invest in.
