Has anybody formally resigned and took all notice period and severance pay. Any do's and dont's or anything to take care of while doing it ?

Not true. Heard from a colleague who was let go in August. He just started this week at a new job and got the remaining part of the 90 days, the 1wk/yr severance and remaining vaca pay all in one fat check. Damn! I had to do well and not get laid off so I got nothing but unused vacay when I left.
Despite documents indicating you get one final check when you notify of new job, and some hr reps saying in person that this indeed accelerates the payout of severance and warn act remainder all at once, hr is also telling people on email that they are not going to send severance until the "key date" specified which is after warn is done. I will likely find out soon but also curious what others are finding.
