Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

I am supporting the leadership, BUT...

We are at a breaking point in some markets and we shouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. I do also support current leadership but we are currently getting kill in every line of business operations support is gone. Better buckle up it going to be rough ride.

That is why I left. Companies integrity is gone.

the term 'total loss' aptly describes much more than a vehicle damaged beyond insurable repair

Not long for State Farm to get a similar or stronger verdict against them an I am sure the plaintiffs bar is in the hunt. We all know the company is violating numerous claim violations. So much for the sale of being customer driven. Scary stuff.

I spoke with a tenured agent yesterday. Their agency is proactive in acquiring new business, but has a book of business what many long termed customers. What is happening is more and more claims assistance and customer service is being shifted to their office on top of less underwriting assistance.

The caveat on agents involved more in handling claims, is that they have less time to sell many of the non-competitive SF products.

Last Spring, I had the unfortunate, but interesting task of being an alternate juror on a ten million dollar bad faith claim against Zurich (Farmer’s) Insurance. When, the fellow jurors were polled on their number one expectation of an insurer, their reply was a prompt and professional handling of their claim, who which they paid premiums for.

In the verdict, the plaintiff/insured was awarded eight million on top of the 2,300,000, already paid to them.

More and more jobs are going to be impacted by automation, machine learning and self service. That is not leadership taking advantage of employees. And it is clearly not specific to SF.

Sr. Leadership SHOULD NOT be trusted. They continually lie to gain the confidences of all their newer employees. Tenured employees know better and that is why they are systematically being eliminated under the cover of “reorganization” and “progress”. That’s not to say that State Farm should not keep pace with technology but at what cost? It’s almost as if they are looking for some magical algorithm to handle claims robotically and eliminate human intervention all together.

It can only be that they are leadership writing the OP.

Anyone supporting these executives is either brain dead or deluded or maybe just loyal to the point of idiocy.

Everything they touch turns to c-ap.

We could cite specific examples all day.

Mayhem himself has infiltrated State Farm. What better way to take SF down than from the inside out? And Tipsord is the Trojan horse. He’s succeeded in pitting the employees, agents, retirees and customers all against each other. State of Chaos is right, this cluster will never be cleaned up. The once mighty State Farm will be a case study in a college textbook on how not to run an insurance company.

I have to ask, what is your rationale for supporting the leadership that has gotten us into this position with no real end in sight?
