Is Walmart going to offer buyouts in 2019?
I hope so. I'd take it in a snap, ready to move on.
Anyone knows more?

They are not paying you to go away... They are paying you to shut up. It's a business deal. Negotiate.
I think WM might do the buyouts. It's definitely the best way to avoid negative PR and get rid of overpaid old-timers who do the same amount of work (or less) for double the money
Yep, buyouts cost companies more than layoffs because when a person accepts a buyout they are prohibited from filing for unemployment benefits, so the company has to pay the person a lot more to go away. Whereas, when someone is laid off that person can file for unemployment benefits. Walmart might offer a senior executive a buyout to go away, but they sure as h*** aren't offering buyouts to anyone else.
Walmart isn't interested in paying anyone more than necessary, and would much more prefer to make the people they don't want miserable by giving them bad reviews and making them quit, or firing them for cause.
More like H.O. 's directive of 'Find legally sound ways to fire / make these people GET out' lol. .....I'm with the last responder, no way Sh-- Mart's gonna pay one cent extra for anything
no buyouts stop dreaming they are not going to pay you to go away
Most companies do that. Never heard of Walmart doing that. That would be nice for you all.
