Most experienced staff who did the heavy lifting got walked out due to seniority/pay. GF wants to minimize labor costs and is therefore focusing on recent colleges graduates to staff their engineering ranks. With the recent layoffs, GF eviscearted itself letting go their best technologists, including those they absorbed from IBM. The reason GF can’t even hold on to the millennials is not a generational issue in this case. It is just a simple matter of people leaving te Titanic, so you can’t fault them for that.
GF is a failure across the board, starting with execution and now with lack of technical experience and know how.
