Rumor is that the lump sum pension is being eliminated and will only offer the annuity going forward!

Beware Oct 4th. Q3 is history and since Q2 included bad news from Fuji Xrx- probably writing off the rest of the year. Any accounts not in top 1500 moving to channels with or without sales reps. If you don’t understand this you haven’t been paying attention.

My observation is that there’s a lot of speculation for weeks and then it’s announced. That’s plenty of time for HR to implement said rumor. There also seems to be mis-information (9/27 actions don’t appear to have happened).

Yes some things are accurate; but not all.

I don't think so ( self fulfilling) by the time this site was giving dates of upcoming layoffs, the HR policy regarding severance had already been in a pending status for at least a month. Then 1,2,3. Policy is changed. Bad news is given of drastic severance cut. Layoffs in all directions...Xerox is useless when it comes to keeping up with the times, burg they're no fools when it comes to the 1%'s money. This has all been carefully orchestrated, not a knee jerk reaction to posts.

Question whether rumors are self fulfilling. Lots of people giving HR ideas on this site and then they go and do it.

The 'rumors' on this site have pretty much all turned out to be spot on. Either someone in HR is leaking information to be helpful, or it's intentional, hoping to ease the few people left with jobs into the supposed 'new leaner' version of a has been company. I've heard the 4 week vacation cap from several local people. Next will be salary reduction, assuming Xerox still exists. If you haven't yet, read the canoe race story on this site. Nailed it!

Is there a reliable source for this, or just speculation from somebody on what could happen?
