Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

All the good talent is leaving

Citrix is losing its most competent and core people. I just found out my “go to” person in Procurement left for an advanced role elsewhere and that my “go to” attorney also do for advancement. Every time Citrix has solid workers they exploit them and don’t view them as “flight risks” because management is arrogant and short sighted.

As a former employee now working at a Citrix partner, I can attest to the massive product and support quality problems that have resulted from loads of good people leaving the company. There are still some good people at Citrix, but their numbers are dwindling.

There are almost 500 positions posted as open on the citrix.com website. Almost 200 in engineering and 100 in support. Heaps of smart people know better than to go work for Citrix because they know how poorly employees are valued.

Citrix is run completely for shareholders at this point. Employees, customers, and partners are treated shabbily.

There’s an empty suit running networking product marketing. All glad handing and self promoting but totally content free.

Agreed. They promoted someone with no degree and no experience in my field but he wears fancy suits and walks around all day asking leaders how they are.

Good people have left or are leaving simply because we have had enough. I left earlier this year because I just got tired of the broken promises / lack of training / no forward movement. All the while you carry the heaviest load for the team and barely get a pat on the back. The ones who get promoted / fat raises / stock options are the ones who play the political brown nose game. After several years of trying to make it work I finally broke down and left. To date Citrix has been the only ORG where I felt I had no future at.

There isn’t anyone left doing marketing for networking. The entire team left since the October reorg.

Management only promotes those who kiss up to them and shmooze with directors all day instead of doing actual work. I have seen many promotions based on who you know, not what you know. Once you are stuck here for a while you learn that. I have been with the company 6 years in a Manager role and repeatedly passed up for promotion citing budget issues when others in my Dept get promoted consistently because they are part of the good old boys club.
