Let's take a survey of how many would go to Bartlesville if a job opportunity were offered? If you were told your job was moving to Bartlesville would you move or resign? No one I know wants to go to that place.
Early retirement is right! If you are here or come here this place is not a stepping stone for anything other than early retirement or severance. If you think it dead here now wait a couple of years.
Former COP employee who moved out of Bartlesville here. I would never go back. However the one benefit I found from being there is that you get very rich saving a ton of money because there's nothing to do there. It would be a great place to save for an early retirement.
