End of Work from Home

They are looking to force out as many Atlanta people as possible without having to pay severance or unemployment. Cowards!

Yesterday ( 11/29/2018) , me and over 60 other people were laid off. With the new "5 days a week" rule , many people were forced to quit .Those who did not , got their severance package ready. NCR is replacing older, long term employees and replacing them with younger kids from the college across the street.

They are also eliminating USA positions to send them to Serbia in which the average salary of an individual is $12K a year or $5.75 per hour.

Yesterday layoff was massive! Over 60 people dialed in to a conference call with Dan Campbell and he delivered the message " as a part of NCR strategy and revenue growth, I regret to inform you that your position with NCR has been eliminated and your employment with NCR will end today"

Many of them were in business travel and were cut just like that.

NCR wants to shed the high salaries and replace them with under 32K a year

There is growing interest from potential U.S. investors in Serbia, in line with these positive trends and with Serbia’s prospective EU accession. In September 2018 the United States and Serbia signed a Memorandum of Understanding that seeks to increase cooperation in the field of infrastructure projects. To deliver the additional jobs and growth its citizens demand and to catch up with EU standards, Serbia must move forward with economic reforms to strengthen its private sector, reform its public administration, resolve state-owned enterprises, and improve the rule of law.

Among the leading U.S. investors in Serbia are NCR, KKR, Philip Morris, Molson Coors, Ball Packaging, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Cooper Tire, Ametek and Van Drunen Farms. Many other leading U.S. firms, from a broad variety of industrial and service sectors, have a significant presence in Serbia. There has been increased interest from U.S. information technology (IT) companies in Serbia, with specific emphasis on opportunities in e-government, cloud computing, digitization, systems integration and IT security. NCR, Microsoft, Oracle, and IBM all have significant IT-related operations in Serbia, along with a growing number of IT start-ups. Serbian IT professionals are highly sought after.

This is an old trick. Just look for WFH or Working From Home on this board you'll see many employees complaining about it.

Bank of America and IBM are two examples where they used this to eliminate workers.

If I remember correctly, State Farm had a big hoopla about this last year.
