If the market makes a turn soon, do you think there will be Morgan Stanley Layoffs in 2019?

Morgan does this every year. They get rid of older people towards winter and hire fresh recruits during summer. That way they save money, make sure they show up as a “hiring” company in the books. It doesn’t matter if you are a awesome worker or not. If your boss has a higher preference with someone else, you are done. I’ve seen many incapable folks being hired and put in spots of these old people.

Nothing new here, MS has been doing this for the past 10 years. Letting go of 'legacy' staff so management can bring in their people from prior jobs. Same old story.
The morgan stanley jobs layoffs are occurring even now, it does not matter whether the market conditions is good or not. I was one of the IT staff who was recently laid off. reason stated as company re-organization.
what about today’s announcement ? Sounds like a major layoff.
