It is August, 2020 and layoffs in Tucson Az, continue to happen, even with COVID-19 and the massive amount of employees that were recently the casualties of the Prior layoffs and job losses. Nevertheless, Corporate salaries Continue to increase for those employees in higher level Executive positions. The CEO received billions in federal funding from the government to continue to slaughter jobs, families and communities for the welfare of corporate Greed in America.
I was laid off in October 2019 from Tenet in Tucson, Arizona. In 2017 I was hired and was tasked to build an entire outpatient cardiac rehabilitation department at St Mary’s hospital. The blue print, schematics, execution and procedures was all my sweat equity, experience and scope to meet the task for development. All the prior leadership that hired me left their post by late 2018. Those particular executives were actually the best I’ve been around in my last 20 years in healthcare. It’s unfortunate how it unfolded. The program was a big success and running without an annual budget, staff and any capital. I carried this concept to fruition and successfully launched the program independent from Tenet denying the proforma sent to headquarters for approval. I was able to provide CR treatment to the heart patients who desperately needed this service. I was grateful and very fortunate for the time I had there. Unfortunately I was a casualty of today’s archaic leadership and financial decisions that ultimately impact people, families and communities. My role and salary succumbed to a financial deficit that was created by corporate decision makers not the staff on the base floor. When the current COO and HR manager came knocking on my clinic door I knew I was the next victim of trying to balance a financial pitfall I had nothing to do with but would be part of the executive plan to balance a budget. There was no time to say good by to my colleagues or even the wonderful patients I served.
I heard they have named it the Tenet Global Center. It is in Malaysia.
Florida market experienced layoffs this month. Jobs going overseas, even accountants.
Louisville conifer employee here. We just got the message TODAY they will be laying off the A/R team and sending the work overseas. They laid off managers and supervisors.
In the Tucson market they have eliminated 200+ positions since May. Every one is walking on eggshells.
The big question is what will be the result of the new contract with NTT Data. They've been going back and forth for 3 months. There are going to be big job losses on one side or the other.
