Heard there were major layoff done in US and India today. What’s happening? Why so many layoff?

Some got laid off in Singapore too..
Physical Design/Hardware Engineering group. Is the company Cavium/Marvell doing good? Worried about their future and not able to make a decision if I should join them or not
