Corod was already sold
dumb iron and anything that is rental/service based. If it requires capital best for them to shed it now while there is some value
They will ride the rest as long as possible and insert just enough to keep kit available to keep service tickets flowing.
you need to look back at the old Weatherford/EVI days and you will see what funded the buying of other companies and the start of BDD building the steaming pile before us now. All said, those original groups are the core today just as they were then.
TRS more like the unwanted stepchild, until of course a downturn comes along and they keep on earnin. Closures, workovers, pump changes, youe name it an TRS keep on keepin on 24/7, 365 a year.
The other PL' s look good at boomtime but the TRS is steady as a rock all year round, and saved a Lot of peoples bacon on the last downturn. Now i'm no casing hand myself but credit where credits due.
TRS a bigearner ???? Only because the figures are massaged every month to make them look that way !!! Take a closer look and see the real picture, they are the weight that has been dragging this company down for years but they are still the lovechild because the figures seem to show it that way !!!!!!! Should have been sold off years ago to allow the other divisions to shine !!!
ALS, TRS, will ne sold off last of all i think. They are the big earners on a global scale and manage to sustain the parasitic Weatherford management in the lifestyle they have become accustomed to. These people arent about to sell the Golden Geese off anytime soon. Maybe fishing will go next, but not the big earners who will be sacrificed at the end.
All I know is that I hope they sell ALS. I am tired of fighting to get inventory just so I can service the clients that are still with us. The way I see it, if they sell my group I have a better opportunity of keeping my job long term as the business will at least be with a company that wants to make it work! Weatherford is just trying to hang on and has managed to upset the vendors with the absolute crazy 120 day payment terms. We want clients to pay us in half that time - - - I know if I was a vendor I would have trouble doing business with us and I sure would allow us to have much of a credit line at this point.
Sell ALS, PLEASE!!!!
Keep selling off PL's that earn money, leading to lower profits, less investor confidence, lower market value, weaker customer confidence, increasing lack of morale/confidence within the company due to no real viable or believable long term plan.
Phew, and they pay Big Mac millions for doing this !
BDD could have run the company into the dirt so much better and faster tbqh.
Sell the furniture.
ALS. They must sell something that is of value. Core is the folks with a few fingers missing, but hell they make some money.
