What the railroads need to do is offer retirement annuities no matter what age. Just reduce the amount. If a person works 30 years 100% 10yrs 33.33% and offer insurance at the current employee rate until 65.
I’ll bet they could eliminate jobs easy then. I know a lot of people would leave after 20 years for sure.
