Will the agony continue- Mattel announces Q3 earnings report

Think that the Q3 earnings report will tell a story whether Mattel, at least, slowed the freefall down. God knows how bad things are going and it would be at least a little satisfying to know that all those painful cost cuts weren’t for nothing and that we can expect some improvements in the numbers.

If anything, I feel like that shows a lack of confidence. Fingers crossed.

I guess it will be a big miss on revenue and EPS. No member of the management team or Board has bought shares at these low prices, instead there have been a lot of selling at $15 share. That shows confidence.

It's been almost a year since we suspended the dividend and began cutting costs. If the goal is $650 million in cost saving over two years, I'd guess this past year would yeild the majority of that number do to low hanging fruit. Year two will be harder for sure, but I'm thinking this earning call is going to be very positive, bottom line should be way up unless the $650 million goal was super unrealistic.
