Misconceptions about the office associate

I find it rather sad that people think all an office associate does is sit on their butt. Personnel has to do way more than sit on their butts. At least in our store ours interact with the associates on the salesfloor, complete daily, weekly, and monthly task. TC also plays a major part in training and development. This is a sad direction this company is taking. All they are doing is getting rid of seasoned employees for lesser pay. All to benefit the people in charge. Come in destroy the smaller businesses and now put the people who worked their completely out.

The managers do rely on Personnel more than anyone thinks and most could do the assistants job. Some just can not at the moment due to persona

I doubt it. It's Friday and by now WSJ or Business Insider would have reported this.

You shouldn't have to justify your role and some of it does require sitting. You know that's been a misconception for years. I totally get your post because my position was eliminated in the office. It's funny that you put people in to do your job that you've done for years and as easy it is now they still don't get it and training manuals that they send to teach out of is outdated. Yes there is Asm that can't do what you do because they sure can't do mine. It's a hard pill to swallow but this company is changing and we all have to adapt to new or find something outside of company. Best wishes
