I noticed that nowadays clients tend to be upset when they hear or see the D word. Already got comments like "we want something tomorrow, not in 2025" or "we need software, not powerpoints".
I expect that within 2 yrs Delfi will have changed name to overcome this bad image.
SLB new flavor of the month is promoting females. Just the way it is for PC culture.
I do recruiting and I can tell you it very hard to find women who apply for STEM jobs. So when a women does we have to hire her even if she is not the most qualified. That is the standing orders to try to get more women into the company. The problem is women are getting multiple offers from several companies all trying to hire from a small pool of women in STEM, so even though we give an offer to every women that applies, we still cant get them to accept. Being an oil industry company is not that attractive and also SLB is not well known. People would rather take STEM jobs at known brand name companies.
Again, just the way it is right now. This is the new large company thing, not just an SLB thing.
What the f--- is Delphi??
There are lot of waste; another one is promoting under performed female employee on qualified people. Why everywhere SLB is promoting females. Anybody noticed.
