Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Major layoffs...again

major layoffs coming in November. Get your resumes ready. This is going to affect quite a few people but mainly around Sales and Service sales. Could be more so don't feel safe if you are outside of that bucket.

Services is full of useless leadership. They keep filling it up. Just another crypt in that graveyard Allscripts. Dying hierarchy is support ( because clients running away and no new clients ), services ( because clients running away, no new clients, absolute useless services and leadership. ), sales because no clients will purchase anything new and terrible product offerings and quality issues ), RD ( Zombies of the company. Useless, lazy, more arrogance then ability, burnet out employees in one of the groups above made into programmers, RD PMs,. Conf calls with them are a joke. Where else can a former office assistant, with absolutely NO programing experience, let alone IT experience become a VP in RD?

Congratulations! Allscripts just erased all the gains they made from the Summer layoffs. Do you think we’ll get to single digits by X-Mas? Time to start looking inward to determine a new management strategy. Hint: Bad management and hosting.

Sure glad I sold a bunch of calls.

More cuts in legacy EIS products. Most R&D jobs will be shifted offshore to save cost .

But they will annouce record numbers for third quarter on Nov1. How can they hit record numbers but still cut Sales staff?

I can’t say I’m sad for the “survivors”. Cutting sales and Support goes right to the heart of the matter literally. Allscripts hasn’t had a normal Sinus Rythm for years. They’re going from a 3rd degree block to Asystole. Buying other companies along the way with the same c-appy Obamacare dependence.
