A little birdie told me that current state farm CAs and CSs are blackballed from being hired at other insurance companies, namely Progressive. This is specifically in the Atlanta area, not sure about any other areas. Any idea WHY? Flies away

Blue balls. That’s what s---s
With the Tacoma office closure, I interviewed with Geico and Progressive. Wasn't hired but there was a lot of other state farm people interviewing and some of them were hired.
That’s funny I just got an offer Friday, I’m putting my notice in tomorrow. And yes I live in Atlanta, and yes the fall off at the Farm is accelerating and I truly think the ones in charge thinks they are doing the right thing with all these crazy changes mite have the lowest expense ratio but if nobody wants to work there it doesn’t matter. What a bunch of blockheads.
I feel like the OP meant to say "black balls" instead of "blackballed."
People have been getting jobs with other carriers. I don't see what the OP is mentioning. Job market is tight, some of these other carriers are growing and need talent, if you have a strong resume they will want you.
Agree with last post. SF employees are not blackballed at other insurance companies. It was a major help to me in landing my next gig after I was laid off.
Do not believe this post. Not at all. Go to other carriers apply and you will find they will welcome you and some have better benefits and do not micromanage.
Try SF reputation.
Wow that's awful. There are a lot of people trying to leave the farm and they are younger workers as well. Smh guess we have no choice but to either stay here or change careers
Lack of work ethic. After working at State Farm you will be viewed as non productive right, or wrong. You will likely be older seeking a job which requires relatively little training or skills and can be filled easily by younger workers.
