M&A happens for two reasons. Either a small new upstart needs to be acquired to avoid future competition and boost future profits (think Microsoft/Skype) or two weak companies are joining forces just to survive (think Sears / Kmart).

So which are we? Skype? Or Kmart?

Every merger is followed by fat cutting. Hope Waco survives, but expect a layoff.

Harris is a smaller company....still will be L3...maybe L3-Harris. But L3 is the bigger company... will not change with this merger. This is good for L3 waco..
