Liquified Natural Gas Facility Greenville

How much money was wasted building the LNG facility in Greenville that never liquified natural gas? This is the same GE location that builds Gas turbines that are failing. I am guessing GE invested $70 Million on a facility that never functioned per design.

You're not missing anything. They ended up trucking in the LNG, did an investigation and decided not to fix it but instead go with a workaround.

I am missing something about the LNG facility. Are you saying GE invested $70 Million in a facility and after it didn’t work it didn’t matter?

WTF does this have to do with Stokes? What's next, you're going to blame him for a parking lot fender bender?

How long Stokes will be around? Any one knows?

No. Wrong. It was supposed to take gaseous NG off the pipeline 24hrs a day, store it as LNG then vaporize it as needed. It was cheaper to do that than upgrade the pipeline. It doesn't do that and GE, when it had the money, didn't care to fix it.

Uses LNG (take liquid NG and converts to gas), does not make LNG (takes NG and turns to liquid). We consume more than the pipeline will provide for testing.

They use it everyday as part of the test stands.
