Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Bittersweet

Dag..folks here can't be happy. First-going to lose my job. Then- I'm so unhappy that minimum wage is $15 hourly, what about existing TMs wages? Followed by the news other positions will get bumps too-I only get a $1.00, my TL gets $2.00 so unfair. Seasoned TMs are a problem because they are uncoachable to evolving roles of industry and tend to have a negative attitude that rubs off on other people. There are plenty of people at Sears or former Toys R US employees who'd love to work at whole foods. Old timers know this bc they lack the skills to find another job at another company that compensates them as well as Whole Foods. It's ok to express or feel frustrated, but dwelling on things is not constructive. Making a decision to accept the change for what it is or move on to a different situation is the best way to go.

It's a crock of sh-- that buyers and team trainers are not being compensated for the extra load they carry. This company is slowly going down the drain, not necessarily because of Amazon, it's just they've changed directions I feel.

The raises are fantastic!!! I would gladly give up gain sharing, especially if they would give us just a little bit more in labor. Not to account for just the raises but just a bit above that and we would be great.

I for one am happy for everyone that was bumped up to $15/he and I am happy to receive my $1.00 increase. I think Amazon did a good thing. People need to stop all the beginning and be a little grateful. I don't want Amazon to think all of us are whinners!!

We should be celebrating that everyone is going to get at least $15/h. That's a big deal. Don't c-ap on your fellow/incoming TMs getting paid a living wage because you're getting less of a raise than someone making $12 right now is.

Thanks for calling out the whiners. I'm totally shocked at how Amazon has stepped up and invested so much into WFM. Speechless.

that’s why we need a union !

millenials are not willing to fight for better wages and better workng conditions.

benefits keep getting cut every year just wait and see open enrollment package it’s only options to cut never gained and then global leadership says you have a voice ! like you actually had a say.

Totally agree!

I am not a corporate troll. I am a boots on the ground store TM. Is there anything that people won’t complain about at WF? Seriously! Try being one of those people who’s companies are shutting down. I may not love my job, like I used to, but I will gladly take a $1/hr wage increase! If that isn’t enough for you, try adjusting your attitude and working for a better position so you can make even more $.

Whining will never get you anywhere in life. Try actually working a little harder. NO ONE OWES YOU ANYTHING
