We come to work waiting for the day some big wig to say 273 is shutting down. I do my job and hope the days come soon. As I do my job and watch d rates rat out t rates, brag about the service time they have and bad mouth the t rates. I laugh inside as they think this is still a career.
Every where I go in the plant t rates are scared to go back making $10 an hour at dunking donuts or a laborer for a cheep construction firm or back to a secretary desk. The truth of the matter is that the union elected officials know the truth and the fate. They claim Culp was impressed but that again is the hall spreading false hope once again.
Caution to the smoke and mirrors game it is coming like a freight train. The train has stopped and started shipping manufacturing across the seas to shut down 273. It could not come quick enough.
The fear of the unknown has the union in 273 in shambles. The company has spread this uncertainty and fear across the plant.
Soon Culp will say to the union that operations will move. I hope they do it soon.
