Can Bed Bath advertise for managers after they just laid so many off last year? Check indeed

The entire pay structure is changing if you haven’t figured that out already. They’re trying to promote SMs at 60k-65k now - this is what most OPS managers are currently making. This is why you’re starting to see the OPS position phased out of a salaried role and into a FT or even PT position in the very low volume stores. This is also why you’re starting to see tenured SMs at a pay scale higher than the average being placed on PIP and shown the door. Think about the average salary of the Department Managers that were laid off last August. The same thing is happening to many salaried employees within the Company, only on a smaller scale and on a case by case basis.

Yes they can. The term Manager at BBB is not the same as the Managers that got laid off. Supervisors with keys is what they are. Making 12-16 bucks an hour working 40 hours a week. Even Store Managers are getting hired in really low unless they have District Manager experience.
