LOL.. if Sunshine is referring to me as the guy she's glad is gone, all I can say is that I gave the most productive years of my life to State Farm and earned my Salary several times over, until CDE came along and essentially made it impossible for anyone to perform. Even then, I kept trying as hard as I could, only to fail (along with the entire department) over and over again.

What I didn't mention in my earlier post is that they STOPPED giving me work because the kind of projects I work on require someone to be front and center for 6 to 8 months at a time, and as a short-timer, I was no longer that guy. So the reason I didn't work was because there WAS NO WORK for me to do.

I'm thankful for the fat check and the 6 months of skill refinement, though.

glad some of these fools are GONE GONE GONE

Like it matters. State Farm employs so many people that there always has been -- and always will be -- a certain law of averages that makes great employees scarce and terrible ones abundant. So there's plenty of bad attitude left at the Farm, and it's not going anywhere.

Most of them were probably damned good workers until State Farm's leadership decided it didn't value them anymore.

We had an hour wait on our que today, customers are so upset with how SF handled this securities transition to BR it’s upsetting going home at night with so many people upset and worried. I am more concerned about the cavalier attitude of the uppers. We use to have a drive to do anything to get things done quickly and efficiently. Now it’s like a sears store close out sale.

It sure has change for the people who work in the trenches, everyone use to care two of my associates are already interviewing. I wish I could tell someone what’s going on.

I really fell bad for the agents that are going to have to deal with this clean up. All my best.

Everyone in my unit with Mutual Funds just does call avoidance or just hang up on people hoping they don’t call back or they are working on there resumes and searching job sites. Who ever was in charge of this securities transition needs to be taken out back and flush down the out house. What a f---ing mess

I found it very helpful to essentially stop working during my last 6 months at State Farm, after I was given my QTD. I didn't even go into work at all for about 4 months -- just worked from home -- and no one cared.

Instead of working, I earned a bunch of industry certifications and fine-tuned my skills. Then, after collecting my severance, I landed a job, about 6 weeks later. Still have 35K in the bank from the big check.

Still, starting a new job is hard. I suggest drinking.

A couple stiff gin and tonics over lunch seem to work well.
