Agreed. F--k stock options. A living wage and an increased labor budget is a start and can we talk about not hiring any old person that interviews? The revolving front-end is doing nothing for our reputation.

Something is wrong here w whole foods. Even wallmart is giving bonuses. Whole foods should do something similar or fixed the gainsharing program instead of always cutting labor. How is one supposed to make labor when they cut it so low and sales are not increasing much. SAD

I could be wrong about this, but my understanding is that businesses in the retail sector don't just hand out stock options to new employees like candy here. I don't think 6k hours is particularly crazy for options to kick in at that.

I'd much rather see them increase starting pay to $15/h base, with the same kind of pay scale bump by area based off of cost of living. Secondly, After that, it'd rather see them significantly lower the deductible on the health insurance and either drop the out of pocket max or fix the ratio.

TLDR we need to make the day to day compensation livable, competitive, and worth giving 110% again before pushing for newer TMs to get amazon stock. If everyone is getting paid competitively, it shouldn't sting so much in the meantime.

how bout restoring labor budgets to a realistic amount and the promise of team based gainsharing...real money in real time and not some speculative investment vehicle that cannot be cashed out after a probationary period(vested???)...real work in the real world deserves real cash...do these id--ts in the upper crust think we all dont barely live from paycheck to paycheck and have investment income just oozing into our pockets...thanks shareholder class for your insight and concerns...

This is some c-ap. I know you regional people read this. We are going to form a union if things do no get better for “TEAM MEMBERS”

Not team leaders!

Not Astl/Stl

Not those who have been here years and will benefit from these so called stock options!!

Ive been a part time for almost a year and can not get full time. There are too many of us willing to form a union since you hired us in record numbers. We are tired overworked underpaid and under appreciated. Do you know how long it will take me to get 6000 freaking hours?!?!!

I get 24hrs/ week on average. It will take me almost 5 years to get to 6000 hours as long as i never take a vacation and dont call out.

This is a joke right?

Yeah go ahead and wait a couple years for something that may never come while amazon and Whole Foods finds ways to fire the pro union.

Good luck

WF, Amazon must be worried to offer this up so quickly.

Common practice for the hired union busting consultants to offer small compromises to employees to pacify them into giving up on the unionizing efforts.

Keep organizing and stand together to protect the jobs everyone has worked so hard for over the years.

They will dispose of JM sooner or later he is in fantasy land still. He ran the bussiness poorly and was forced to sell why is he even still around? Why are any of upper management being held onto clearly they couldn’t rise to the occasion when things got tough. We are tired of the BS mismanagement of WFM by the incompetent people at the top I want to see them all go.

Just the threat of forming a union already has leadership changing their tone ... I wonder how much better things could get if we actually moved forward with a union?

In my team only 3 people might benefit from this. What about the rest of us? My team is 40+

We need amazon deals for team members and be allowed to use our discount cards.

We need better pay

We need 40 hrs/week and not that 36hr min for ft

We need paid maternity/paternity leave min one month.

We need the opportunity to buy amazon stock at a discount

They can keep their damn stock options. If anyone gets them they'll prob get 1-2 stock OPTIONS( not RSUs) and pray that it keeps going up You cant sell half a share so youll have to wait 4 yrs to sell them. Unlike astl/stl who got at least 10 RSUs. Thats like $20k based on current stock value. I dont have 4 years to wait around. My bills are here every month.

Union might be the only way to get these.
