It seems much bigger conspiracy otherwise Mercer wouldn't have left. He was so excited with his work but suddenly he had changed and heard this announcement Of Mercer leaving Avaya. Worried!!!
Jim failed again to retain a good leader.
he didn't leave.......he was asked to leave due to the Spoken acquisition mess.
avaya lacks the vision and rolls out technology that does not work. Customers have no patience to be in constant beta.
All the new product developmenta are much hyped at Avaya, not reflected by reality.
Mercer discovered Avaya is a dying company and abandoned ship.
Show door to all Nortel employees n product.. biggest mistake to acquire it and then continuing to have it

Mercer was being blamed for discrepancies during acquisition of Spoken Communication. He choosed to slap Jim by resigning.
