So far the IBM layoff model has been replicated. The remaining layoffs will be in small numbers in frequent waves and locations to avoid bad press. It appears GlobalFoundries is going to make good on their current customer committments then sell the brick and mortar to a successful entity that would benefit from a FAB in the US. The transition will be messy... buckle up...
