Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Maybe the future is as bright as the promises are

Finaly some good news! Reading that the first phone call in 5G technology was made to a smartphone packed with a Snapdragon X50 modem definitely gave me some sense of relief. I’m usually not a Kool-Aid drinker, but right now it seems that the “5G is one step away” story Qualcomm officials are trying to sell these days is not just bull. Everybody knows it’s been a tough year and for the first time I got a sense that we are wining at something. This is definitely a good position to be in, but with the competition closing in, I can’t help to wonder can we stay ahead, as promised. Can we run that last mile?

What are you talking about?

QCT has been kicking butt for the last few years.

It’s QTL that is the problem.

I don’t see that getting favorably resolved anytime soon.
