From looking around and talking with people I think, ( gut feeling ) that 2019 is going to be a bad year for employees. Especially the ones with a pension. I think the legacies with more that 20 years will be offered a package to leave, and those with a pension and less than 20 years will be layed off with the option of reapplying for the same job under the newer wage package. Since Immelt went to work for health care company, I think our insurance will change again, and the pension will probably be frozen.
If the stock doesn't rebound during the 4th quarter, the credit rating may take another hit. Aviation can have all of the contracts in the world, but if they can't buy material, we are all done. Some suppliers are already on a COD basis.
Time will tell.
