Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Outsourcing at its best!!

Apparently in india one of their ministers died and now the whole country will shut down for a few days. Since the orders are assigned in india that means its a mad scramble to figure out who will do the orders. There's a hold time for assignment already its only going to get worse. It must have been a real good idea to put all the eggs in one basket, only to now have that basket dropped and the eggs are broken. Lets just outsource the whole dam company and save even more money so that TT can get a bigger bonus for sinking the ship. GREAT JOB!!!

If they could outsource the leadership to India, think at how much money the company would save, not to mention the new leadership would be many times smarter than what is currently at WE.

Customers, Wall Street, and the employees would love this, and the stock would go through the roof...

Anonymous,

I remember the great flood in India. I was there too. I worked 12 hour days plus both weekend days that week to get the orders assigned. Did we get a thank you, f you or even an honorable mention on stream for preventing a company wide shut down? No. One year post escape could I still assign an order? Most likely. How much would it cost? Too much as I have way more important business to do now at my new job. My advice to current assigners is to go to school (use tuition reimbursement if they still have it), get a degree and write a good resume. With a degree and solid work history you are worth way more than the way they treat you.

Seriously? Didn’t they just have a minister die a few years ago? Becoming a trend, eh? As a former assigner (emphasis on FORMER, thank GOD) I recall also that they outsourced the orders due to India not having inclement weather but didn’t they have a tsunami a few years ago? Flooded the whole place. They couldn’t work for days and we had to do their jobs? Pathetic. They should be required to come to work like us when theres ice on the roads. Windstream don’t give a sh-- whether you wreck or not you just get your a-- to work and take these calls and fix all the sh-- that India screwed up all day. Polish up the resume and get out, NOW!
