I want to understand how we can justify laying off? What exactly are we trimming for? We just received 2.7 BILLION back in taxes from the Trump plan. We had adjusted earnings of 1.3 BILLION or $2.90 per share. We've put all this money into stock buybacks... Our stock is over $120 per share now. What is the justification? What's the purpose?

One word: Tesla.
Anyone paying attention knows it will be staggered over a few years depending on how much is covered by natural attrition and not backfilling positions. Too much work to do for it to happen all at once.
