Those of you still with a job after your Departmental QTD, please tell us about what your new job is like and what you think of it.

It is 1/2 the salary, but only 35 hours per week in a small office with every government holiday off, plus 15 days per year PTO. Similar benefits, but this company matches up to 7% for 401k. Raises are 4% per year. It is in a small office of about 10 people and I now live in a smaller town that has a much lower cost of living. No metrics, no PC BS, no fake people, and I park 15 feet from my desk. No stress and they are thrilled with me and my skill set. It is very low stress and no pressure at all. You decide how happy I am. Hahahaha! QTD is the best thing to happen to me in 20 years. Plus I started collecting my pension on September 1.
Technology Analyst in an overstuffed position. New job in ET is challenging and super busy. I haven’t been this engaged it years. It’s good. Seems like a lot of the old B.S. that stood in the way of getting sh-- done is going by the wayside. Been in the new job about 3 months.
ET. It is a sh-- show being steered by clueless, checked-out "leaders".

Proximity. We had 6 people in my state pre-reorg and now have 4. We were expected to close 7 claims per week or we would get claim central files to make up the difference. Didn't matter if we closed 7 small losses or 7 large losses. Now, with 2 fewer people we have had the other peoples work distributed through the team. Also, we now have to close 8 claim or get claim central files. There has been no decrease in the amount of work coming out, just fewer people to do it. I wish I had opted out and left 7/31 because life is a living hell and it is only going to get worse.
