Were they responsible for the Jonathan Adler partnership as well? eyeroll
Agreed last poster. No one I knew wanted to put a "shackle" on their baby or grand baby. Jesus, who the hell that was a good Idea!!!!??
Sprouting was “vital” !?!? What a joke that whole debacle that was! Did the famed baby band even make it to market?
Yes, these PR piece deals or as they’re known internally, “S$$ Special’s” really contributed to the bottom line didn’t they? How much $ are you all in? Where are those products? Where’s the ROI? Let’s remind everyone here about the decision to acquire Quirky shortly before their bankruptcy. Complete lack of due diligence in desperation to drum up any PR speaking point for RD. Mattel needs to stop focusing on these empty PR deals to create false confidence in investors and fix their broken business model. Focus your sh--’s getting tiresome. And someone needs to take responsibility for the destruction of AG. Who was in charge when you stupidly launched Wellie Wishers generic mass line and whored out a premium brand? Another terrible short sighted decision by your genius strategic leaders. I haven’t heard RD take any responsibility for the companies missteps or as he says “I’m just the spokesperson” for everyone else. Spineless.
Last we heard they were forming a new creative mobile development studio in China called Mattel163. Prior to that they put together the Sproutling and Fuhu deals, which by some accounts have been vital in achieving Mattel's mission to be the recognized leader in play, learning and development worldwide.
