Is trop dsd ending...pepsi is getting trop naked products so are they going to coexist with pepsi trying to steal trop dsd business?

I'm not sure why DSD management in NY allows Tropicana trucks to not use their refrigerator units. After all, it is supposed to be chilled product. You would think there would be liability concerns, but Metro NY management continues to look the other way. It is an expense for the Independent Operator however it should be necessary.
Hello. Yes- PBS will soon have the capabilities to deliver any refrigerated products by utilizing a small cooler put onto its fleet. This however does not mean that Trop DSD ‘is dead’
Tropicana Chilled DSD has been / is / will be a division of Pepsi. DSD is just as equal to PBS and quite honestly has been utilized to get its Chilled products onto the shelves for years.
Just because PBS has the means does not mean the client must switch. On the contrary- it is the opposite! DSD has the business & just because PBS wants it & might persuade your client to go with them doesn’t necessarily mean c-ap.
Keep delivering juice. If encountered by PepsiCo PBS, simply tell them NO. If your client comes to you... tell them I am yours & we are married Forever!
Good luck all!
Really trop dsd is doing well from what I see. Pepsi has poor service and a bad reputation on the street.
the route drivers and unions in both locations are unbelievable headaches. There is no control with a lot of theft. Cannot keep management because their hands are completely tied
Actually whitestone and jersey city chilled dsd is what carries Tropicana there all owner operators that cost the company nothing . No insurance ,maintenance on trucks or wages. If pepsi try to take routes thats when Tropicana will be ruined just like they killed Gatorade
Chilled DSD is a money pit. The company would be best served to sell Whitestone and consolidate all chilled into pepsi. I heard the top senior manager quit too so talent is definitely on its way out.
