P66 is a loser company with a loser culture. An also-ran that gets the leftovers and pays them too much. Entitled. Lazy. Incompetent. Political as hell. LOSERS.
Why in the world would a member of the TMT share any of that info with you?
The TMT said if his key employee's spouse was laid off at COP, there was too much risk of losing that employees so open positions were held even though they were posted because the spouse had first offer on them. It's on the TMT's worksheet of open jobs that are posted and unposted with the list of candidates next to each job based on ranking of offers.
Well that sounds like total BS to me. The companies split over six years ago and you really believe there is an arrangement like that in place? That's not to say an opening wouldn't be found...but required? Not likely.
Expect several to be let go around the time ConocoPhillips completes their layoffs in September. According to one TMT, a key Phillips 66 company employee's spouse losing a job at ConocoPhillips would require Phillips to give an opening to the spouse before internal applications or external applications. New rules allow spouses to work under the same manager as long as a different supervisor is over both spouses.
You can bet your last dollar that no supervisors were let go!
Not necessarily. If you're over 50 get your finances in order, begin looking at potential alternatives, and avoid major purchases if not needed. The package is not bad, so just know when it's coming by watching this site.
So I guess anyone over 50 will be let go in the next 6 months. So we should all pack up now ?

Getting rid of the rest of the old people who aren’t retiring is the goal. Out with the old and in with the new is the new way.
I want to understand how we can justify laying off? What exactly are we trimming for? We just received 2.7 BILLION back in taxes from the Trump plan. We had adjusted earnings of 1.3 BILLION or $2.90 per share. We've put all this money into stock buybacks... Our stock is over $120 per share now. What is the justification? What's the purpose?
