Thread regarding CGG Veritas layoffs

Things can only get better

New leader,CFO and rising oil prices the only way is up

Should have faith in Senior Management and HR they got us through difficult times strong leadership and compassion for staff

Perhaps this website can be closed down and a new one as a fan club be created

Well done CGG

UNFORTUNATELY MOST OF THOSE WHO ARE LEFT ARE THE ONES WHO SIMPLY TURN UP, SIT DOWN, DO THEIR 8 HOURS THEN GO HOME WHILST OF COURSE SQUEEZING A LUNCH HOUR OR 2.

MANAGERS ARE USELESS, SENIOR MANAGEMENT MORE SO.

A POST ON HERE A WHILE AGO ABOUT DOING MORE FOR CGG BOUGHT NOTHING BUT DERISION.

Boats laid up without work, thousands lost there jobs, not made any profit in years, skilled good ambitious people left leaving behind an immature low skilled work force, managers and HR who protected their jobs and poorly treated redundant employees are promoted. Still the remaining uncertainty if can survive to the end of the tax year without begging for more money.

Well done CGG

But at what cost?

The past couple of years have seen a lot of knowledge and experience (i.e. older workers ) leave CGG. I really shouldn't generalize but what is left are the younger workers who think they know it all, but don't have a clue. They've survived because they were younger and had smaller salaries. Let's see what happens over the next few years.
