Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

30% of adjusters laud off this week

State Farm just laid off 30% of their home loss adjusters this month.

Remaining reps stated that the expected 10 claims per week had ballooned to 25 per week per adjuster.

One stated that he was informing clients he would conduct the initial inspection in 10 to 14 Days....

Any ideas of the level of service they will be able to diver in the future?

It is hard to calibrate some of these comments with the most recent JD Powers survey that through their assessment customer satisfaction for SF is not only improved but better than most of the industry?

I've heard it will only get worse. Our team supports critical technology at Corp south and our team has been decimated with cuts and retirees who don't get replaced. We are also told to learn the jobs of other support teams. Be prepared for more frequent outages that last longer. Customer facing application will be affected.

I agree. Just do what you can in the 77:30 hours. I tell my boss I’m just like one of those mechanical horses that used to be in front of grocery stores. You gotta keep putting in quarters for me to keep going. No free rides with off the clock hours. It’s up to TMs to manage the work load and OT. If they see someone hit hard they need to move work around to load level. If you are booking out 2 weeks, wait till a storm hits and deployed doesn’t pick it up.

Just do what you can. I have people screaming at me everyday for corporate RFAs because it's been weeks and weeks and no authority. I don't care anymore. just look at what I can and book everything else out. The castle doesn't care, so why should we? Inspected 12 this week and they expect me to do it 40 hrs, screw that. Every minute get logged on my tracking tool and time card. My territory got stretched out to 2 1/2 hours one way to look at claims. You better bet I'm putting my overtime down.

I am booked seven days out and if a real bad claim comes in I’m not sure what I will do. 30+ years in field and have never seen anything like this before. Now manager comes back from his leadership meeting to tell us that he needs to explain the reason for the metrics. Be more humble. Well here it is ... the metrics don’t matter. Fire the analysts who created this scheme to ruin a once good company.
