Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

All drama or is it looking up - after company's all-hands meeting

If there is bonus this year, then I am assuming there will be no more layoffs. I wish someone asked directly but SM avoided too many questions. Some indications that RIF was done but the 1b$ savings in previous cuts is negated by the 2b$ gift to NXP. Looked upbeat but that may be for drama purposes

Bonus means nothing. I received a 20+% bonus and 8% raise in November 2017 and still got laid off. I received no RSU which confirmed what I was told by BCG that I would be laid off.

Hope this helps.

I don't think bonuses are a good indicator there will not be any future layoffs. There were bonuses in 2015, albeit very small.

The $2B break-up fee will come from CapEx, which has nothing to do with the promised $1B OpEx reductions.
