As someone who left store 691 earlier this year, it is very obvious that the new store manager, might have 19 years as an ASM and knows how to read financial statements, but has no clue on how to manage and get the most out of his people. Cutting hours of part time people had the effect that part time people left Lowes and found other places to work. My husband still works at the store and will be leaving the store within the next two weeks. Other full time people will be following right behind.

That is one of the biggest problems with Lowe's corporation. All the way down to floor level, has the worst management I have ever seen. One of the reasons for that, is they are a cheep company that hire trailer park trash employees that have no management experience, and a training program that is a joke. And the new CEO wants to be the number one retailer in the world. I think he is trying to patch a ship that is already under water.

Seems to be this way at a lot of the stores and the ones going through this seem to have one thing in common and that is poor management at the top. Morale is a thing of the past, employees are angry and bitter doing little things to get back at managers. At some point they have to realize bullying tactics do not work. People turn their heads now when customers are stealing bc not only can you not reach anyone it's not like anyone can do anything anyway. Our SM has made it clear to his ASMs that he wants tenured employees out of the store and we're tasked with watching them to give him the reason he needs to let them go and not have to pay unemployment. It's too much, these are people with families and I don't believe he even sees them as human beings. I'm interviewing with another company and have my fingers crossed bc I can't be a part of this anymore. You know it's reached a new level when your employees are talking union.
