Anyone has more details on how COBRA works after a layoffs? What is offered? How about prices?

NY has cheaper options via Health Exhanges
In NY (not sure about other states) you can buy pretty much the same insurance on the exchange for a lot less than COBRA... you will have 3 months to check it out: https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov
Yep, expensive if you have a spouse to include. For the Mattel goldstar HMO I’m paying ~$1,200 per month for medical and dental for me and my spouse.
I was told the packet we get after Aug 3 would have all the info on COBRA
