Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Don't Loose Sight of The Big Picture - Innovation

I have seen far too many negative people on this site who obsess over the 1,000,000 auto policies that we have lost in the last year and a half. To me, these people are only thinking short term.

It won't be long till self driving cars are here. Thanks to the amazing leadership from Systems we are in a strong position to be number one in flying car insurance. Long term thinkers like Mark O have been leveraging the incredible innovation of State Farm. Thanks to him and the other leaders, we are now in a position to be number one in self driving flying car insurance.

You short term thinkers will see that the 1,000,000 lost policies are just the few cracked eggs that you need to make an omelet. Our systems are modern and right in line with Google, Uber, and other companies that envy our innovation

BAG THE PENSION if the future and $$$ is all we are worried about. Costly system freeze it now and cut our rates. What the hell is going on it’s Iike a runaway train. My policyholders were appalled by the annual statement showing our net worth increased by 10 F---ing BILLION>

To bad with mapping and the earth patterns changing especially in California, self driving cars are way into the future. We better address the situations now because policyholders are leaving in droves, and agents are unable to replace with new business because our rates are to high. Who ever is running the actuary department and our P&C underwriting needs to stop hitting the bottle and wake up or get out. Claims is in total free fall in Cali. How can u screw up a company is going to be the movie title. The CRACK is getting bigger everyday u id--t.

I bet I can guess that OP doesn't work in claims! Where we have lost all customer service because only numbers matter!

Yeah it’s just too bad that a lot of the people that actually understand these new innovative opportunities seem to be jumping ship for greener pastures. you have a lot of 25+ years of tenure people who have been in Bloomington for decades trying to be worldly and innovative. Good luck with that.

Funny to me that we all aren't driving electric cars yet. We see how that went over. But SF is putting itself in a position to be number 1 insurance for self driven and flying cars.

'Thanks to him and the other leaders, we are now in a position to be number one in self driving flying car insurance' - this just gets funnier to me each time I look at it!

Just playing along, if this is not a joke, I'd venture a guess that 90% of anyone reading this will be long retired before anything like this is ever implemented.

'Thanks to the amazing leadership from Systems we are in a strong position to be number one in flying car insurance.'..I love it! Pure comedic gold! LMAO!

I'm reading this as facetious...

The assumption that OP is a paid troll is based on numerous previous posts . I get sarcasm and cynicism- his / her posts are not intended to be humorous.

Seriously, you can’t tell the OP is being facetious? Comparing SF ET to industry leaders in innovation is tantamount to comparing a tee ball team to a major league team. This was a actually a pretty funny post by the OP.

We can lose 10 million policiea and still have 90 billion in reserve. We can lay off 80% of our staff and still have 90 billion in reserve. The Pesident of the company may be the last person left but he can manage that 90 billion.

Using "Mark O" and "innovation" in the same sentence is another indication OP is a paid company troll. Unless if OP posted entirely tongue in cheek.

Yes “loose” outed you OP. Grammar isn’t your forte.

Caution to all : OP is in my opinion a paid troll for this current disaster of a company.

I hope to be the first in proximity to using a flying car on inspections. Maybe, I can park on roofs like kind of like the insurance Santa! The hours I could save fling across big cities would allow me to meet or exceed my metric evaluations!
