Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

It's not just Fayetteville

We are losing people in Crawfordsville as well. Not sure about the exact number, but it's not a small number, that's for sure.

I guess it was our turn after stores and HQ. Walmart seems determined to cut staff literally everywhere they can, whether it's feasible or not.

I believe the cut backs was because we lost sams club to outsourcing

My guess is there is a new outsourced option that is going to be pushed in Aug & Sept for a new way of ordering frames & lenses

I believe the cut backs was because we lost sams club to outsourcing. We lost 108 people in Crawfordsville, me being one of them. 2 days after and I already feel a sigh of relief! Not nearly as stressed out and don’t have to worry about dealing with sh--ty management and drama! Thanks Walmart for 5 years but I’m off to find something better!!!

With less headcount, WM can have the associates that remain do the work of 2-3 people. Who gets to Save Money and who gets to Live better in that scenario?

Because the same level of greed that made them want to conquor the whole world now has them scrambling blindly to throw all balast over board.

Complete antithesis to the shrewd thinking that built this company so huge.

I believe all 3 labs are in the process of getting cut. Why at back to school of all times?
