Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

3 weeks for 10 years

I had worked at the company for more than 10 years. I was offered less than a months severance. Disappointed wouldn’t began to express how I feel. I hope CEO sleeps well at night, I, and my family won’t be.

If you are in Ontario, you should probably have received 8 weeks as a legal minimum. Try reading through this: https://www.ontario.ca/document/your-guide-employment-standards-act/termination-employment

It might be a good idea to talk to a lawyer.

Definitely contact HR. In US if you were a full time regular associate (not a contractor) for 10 full years, I would expect it should have been 20 weeks. It’s quite possible someone just messed up in a spreadsheet somewhere.

Depends upon your position. If you're not in leadership you may not be eligible for severance.

I have never heard of that before. Standard has been two weeks for every year maxed at 6 months.
