I feel like productivity goes way down before a rumored/expected layoff. At least how we seem to do it. If we targeted known unproductive people it would probably motivate us all more

Productivity is in the toilet right now. I also get an underlying feeling on the floor that people are concerned. I know that not everyone reads this site everyone is aware of it.

Not really sure the point of this post... but the price of tea in China has been increasing.
Of course moral is low near common layoff times. Ergo - productivity takes a dip across the masses. My productivity drops everytime I read this site and sees all the boneheads chiming in with opinion and no information.
I've seen good hard working people get sh!tcanned meanwhile lazy dumb good for nothing employees keep collecting that paycheck.
What keeps me going is knowing that those sh--head employees are much less likely to find success than the hard working ones. Its easy to get lazy and pain to get un-lazy. That always shows up in the resume and interview. .. minus the few exceptions of lucky boneheads.
