Will we start layoffs next week? They said layoffs start mid-September skis that next week or week after? We hate the suspense! Is anybody hearing anything?

Wow. It’s not about the travel time when working remotely. You are one of the reasons there needs to be layoffs. Out with the old, in with the new!!
ha ha … "we are in before 7". What a load of cr#p. IT should be held accountable to work the same hours the rest of us work. There is no excuse to work remotely in Bartlesville - we are already remote! Why would someone move all the way to here and then say they need to work remotely?
Agreed. Having two required in office days would be perfect. For example, no working remotely on Tuesday/Wednesday. That way everyone is guaranteed to be in the office for any circumstances that have to be handled face to face or any team/customer assistance that requires a physical meeting. Also keeps some accountability.
I know of some IT employees who went on vacation while working remotely from other country. Due to time difference they could stay online during key times as if to appear they are always there working. Then I also heard that a special compensation was given since they showed they worked a lot more hours. There should be provision how long a remote work is allowed. They have to show up at least Monday and Friday to make sure they are in town/state/country.
IT can work whatever hours they want, we will outsource them so they can do it for a lot less money for some other company!
A lot of B’ville IT start work before 7, so yes, they’re gone after 3. There’s also this new thing called Working Remotely. Which really just translates into a 9/90. Its actually a benefit successful companies with happy employees are now offering. CoP had to start making a shift to this as young professionals are leaving for companies that have more modern practices, especially in the tech/IT fields. It’s basically done on a per supervisor basis but will become a more common company practice. CoP is failing to retain new hires long-term, working remotely is here to stay so stop whining about IT not keeping traditional, outdated office hours.
I hope HR doesn't come looking after 3PM for their Bartlesville IT victims - everyone will have gone home. IT in Bartlesville seems to have enrolled in the 9/60 program.
All you poor schmos who dissed Pepper the Productivity Penguin are going to regret that mistake come Monday.
IT is the main target for Bartlesville. Most of the other groups won’t have many if any since they’ve already cut during the dispositions.
I heard layoffs will happen in Bville until end of month. Houston first the our turn.
