Section 7 of your severance agreement is a non compete clause. Speak with a lawyer if you have questions, this can inhibit your ability to find related work to protect the company. Non compete agreements typically do not fly in NY as they can keep you from finding work and increase unemployment rates. Global is sketchy, don't take chances.
