Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Where is this August 30 thing coming from?

I see a lot of people on here mentioning August 30 layoffs and talking about it like it's a well known fact, but I don't see anything actually confirming it.

Am I missing something? How can we know for sure that there will even be layoffs tomorrow?

I'm honestly wondering.

Xerox died when they decided to no longer be the benchmark for other companies to strive for, now the other companies are the benchmark and we missed the cut to be the water boy. For a long time Xerox has turned its back on the customer in multiple ways, often leaving them truly angry. It used to be we provided great service, now I am ashamed of the service we provide. Our Corporate Pockets, so named for the money they put in from each cut they take from us. Years without pay raises, crippling us with cuts in all services, folks who were brilliant at their job, let go to have a person who has no communication skill or customer compassion take over a job and run it down the toilet. The Corporate Pockets don't know what their employees do and they don't care. They don't interact with the lowlife Service, Sales and IT groups, because they can't compete intelectually with them. The only thing they know how to do, is to steal money from the Customer, and us lowlifes. The company has changed, and if you bought any service from Xerox, you have been sold a bill of goods. The folks you don't see, they are the ones who screwed you, make you wait endless hours to get meager service because they have crippled all the folks who do serve you in so many way. The company believes that they are doing this secret thing, and sadly Customers know about it before the employees do. Xerox Pockets are all about stealing you and their own employees as blind as they can. For those of you who plan to stick it out, I hope that this new Xerox is good to you, I really do, but if I were you, I would be wearing steel underwear to work for as long as you are allowed to work their. The Corporate pockets have your pictures on the wall and they are throwing darts. They don't care about the talent they have and are losing. I have watching people who cared greatly about their work with Xerox and they are dropping like flies, being let go, no gold watch, no speech, no pat on the back, just a "Get the F#(K out of here you worthless cash cow". Now on to my resume ......

Due to legal, fiscal and image reasons, these layoffs re going to be staggered across the next few months; but, I have heard that by early 2019, expect that 20% to 30% of Xerox's current US workforce will be gone by VRIF, IRIF, or simply encouraged to walk out the door.

Don't worry. My superior brain has done the calculations on your behalf.

If nothing happens tomorrow or Friday, I will quit.

We, the lowly peons, won't know for sure until tomorrow. I've heard rumors from other sources about cuts tomorrow too. Most of us are just spreading rumors we hear and have no reliable sources, so I'll just wait until tomorrow.
