Any ideas on what will be hit on Thursday? It would be great to know if my department is on the list and have at least some advance notice to prepare mentally.
Working here has become emotionally draining. Just constant worrying, never a minute to relax and think about the future without an axe hanging over my head...

I agree with the reply on resume. I would add back up everything you need from your computer and scrub your public social media accounts. Don’t post anything disparaging about your former employer on accounts linked to you, as tempting as it may be. Some have written letters of recommendation, and asked their managers to sign them at exit interview, so they can bring that to next interviews. Once you leave, there is little likelihood any manager will sign.
Why worry, there is nothing you can do about it and if your are going to be IRIF'd your name is already on a list. Get prepared get your resume ready. Start sending it out, go on a few interviews for practice. You will feel a lot better mentally.
